Marjory Watson

Marjory returned to Scotland in 2009 after working in Los Angeles. Before that she worked as a freelance singer in London. An experienced concert artist, she has appeared as a soloist in many of the UK’s best concert venues, including The Festival Theatre, Edinburgh, The Cadogan Hall, London, Bridgewater Hall, Manchester and The Royal Albert Hall, London. Internationally, she has performed in the Muziekcentrum Vrendenburg, Utrecht and the Cerritos Performing Arts Centre, LA. On television, she appeared as a solooist on BBC1's Heaven and Earth Show. She is a regular soloist with The All Souls Orchestra (Langham Place, London) and was a guest soloist on their Scottish tour.
Marjory is also an experienced recording artist and has recorded for many different groups and albums. She released her first solo CD, The Spark of Creation in 2004. She can also be heard as a singing dolphin on the soundtrack of the motion picture The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy(2005).
In 2006, Marjory made a successful debut at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe performing her own one-woman show, The Circle of Life.
Theatre credits include: Johanna in Sweeney Todd; Sleeping Beauty in Into the Woods; Mrs Cohen/Ensemble in Rent; Songs of a New World. She sang on the recent UK tours of The Rocky Horror Show and 42nd Street.
Alongside her own performing, Marjory is now a Lecturer in Singing for the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.
Majory has much experience as a choir director and has worked with many choirs as a conductor and guest conductor both in the UK, Europe and the States. She is thrilled to be working with the Fair City Singers.
Stuart Watson

Stuart is delighted to have taken up the post of accompanist for the Fair City Singers. He was a pupil at Perth High School, graduated as a Tuba player from the Royal Northern College of Music, Manchester, and more recently, gained a Masters from the University of St Andrews. After some time working in education, based first of all in London and then in Los Angeles, he returned home in 2009 to resume working as a freelance musician. He is currently the composer and Musical Director for Pitlochry Festival Theatre's Sleeping Beauty. Earlier this year, he was the Musical Director for I do! I do! at Perth theatre, and was also responsible for the musical direction of performances of My Fair Lady and Whisky Galore at Pitlochry.
Other theatre credits include: Cinderella, Kiss Me Kate!, (Pitlochry); A Christmas Carol (Dundee Rep); Sleeping Beauty (Adam Smith, Kirkcaldy); Sleeping Beauty, Secret Garden, More Grimm Tales, Parking Lot in Pittsburgh, Into the Woods (Byre, St Andrews).
